Bottles on ground will be filled with water, frozen in winter, and stored in insulated cooler pictured. In theory, these thawing bottles will keep this structure functioning as a cooler till next winter.

HugelKultur beds, called Hugelbeets. Contain buried branches and logs that are slowly decomposing, supplying moisture retention and encourage beneficial fungi and bacteria.
